Description
The Semper Fidelis poster
“Semper Fidelis” is a 1943 U.S. Marine Corps poster marking the Corps’ 168th anniversary. Two Marines of the Second World War advance with rifles while a drummer from the Revolutionary era beats the time behind them, linking the fighting Marines of 1943 to the Corps founded on November 10, 1775. The dates 1775–1943 run beneath the title.
It is a bold, instantly recognisable piece of Marine Corps history, and a fitting gift for a Marine, a Marine family or anyone who marks the Corps’ birthday each November.
