Description
The U.S. Air Force recruiting poster
This U.S. Air Force recruiting poster, credited “Painting by Tom Hall”, belongs to the years after the Air Force became an independent service in 1947. A smiling woman in an Air Force blue garrison cap fills the upper half, while below her an airman in flight overalls and another in a tan uniform look up at swept-wing jets crossing a bright blue sky. The words U.S. AIR FORCE run across the bottom in bold blue capitals.
With its cheerful mid-century illustration style, it is a great piece for an aviation room, office or den, and a fine gift for anyone who served in the Air Force.
