This policy explains what personal information American Military Posters (“we”, “us”) collects when you use americanmilitaryposters.com, how we use it and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the store.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, phone number if you give one, the items you order and any note you add.
• Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited card details such as the card type and last four digits, never the full card number.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact form.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how you arrived at the site, which our website software, security tools and payment provider record automatically. A small script on our pages also notes your screen size, time zone and whether the page was scrolled or clicked, so we can tell real visitors from automated bots. It does not record anything you type.

How we use it

• to take payment for, make and deliver your order, and send order and shipping emails
• to answer your questions and handle replacements, refunds and claims
• to protect the store and our customers from fraud and misuse
• to keep business and tax records

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:

• Stripe, which processes payments and checks them for fraud;
• Prodigi, our print partner, which receives your name, delivery address, email and order so it can make and ship your print;
• shipping carriers, which receive your delivery details from Prodigi;
• Team Cymru’s IP-to-network lookup and public DNS, which receive visitors’ IP addresses so we can see which network each address belongs to and spot fake search-engine crawlers and other bots;
• our website hosting, security and email providers, which store and send information on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Where your information is handled

American Military Posters is operated from Australia, and our service providers may process information in the United States, Australia and other countries. We choose providers that protect information appropriately.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes, usually seven years. Contact-form messages and emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Website visit logs are kept for 30 days, and other security logs for a short period.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to run the cart and checkout, keep the site secure and help our payment provider prevent fraud. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we do not need to keep it for legal reasons. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your state’s privacy law, and we will honour them.

Children

Our store is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
